Common ATS gaps
- Portfolio URL in the header image or a text box, so the parser never stores the link.
- JD named Figma / user research / design system while the CV uses only “crafted experiences.”
- No platform (mobile, web, B2B) so search filters skip you.
Keywords that only count with proof
Put Figma, research methods, and the product name in a text bullet. The case study can live in the portfolio; the parse needs the words.
Common questions
- Can my CV be mostly a portfolio QR code?
- No. ATS and many recruiter searches never scan a QR. Keep a text CV with product, method, and a plain URL.
- Should I list every design tool?
- List the tools this JD named if you used them. A twelve-tool belt without a shipped product is ignored.
